56th St Deli Market - Phoenix

Synopsis: Reminds me of delis back home in New York; great feel, kind folks, amazing sandwiches.Girlfriend and I are vacationing in the Phoenix area and wanted sandwiches while we visited the Botanical Garden and Zoo. We found this place while looking through recommendations.It’s your traditional convenience store with a deli attached to it. The guys working the market were incredibly nice. We placed our orders quickly, pastrami sandwich and a club. Didn’t do any sides but we did grab some unique chips and fountain drinks. Our sandwiches were done in about 5 minutes and were well worth the wait.We were thrilled with our stop at the 56th Street Deli. Between the food, the service, and the selection it was a great choice for our sandwich fix.5 Deli Fresh Stars out of 5!

Reminded me a little of bodegas. Simple market, great for simple sandwiches. We tried the BLT and egg salad. Bacon was nice and crispy, but my boyfriend was wishing for more mayo. They have a nice drink section with a few things you can't find at most convenience stores, like Ito En green iced tea, and carries a few grocery staples like single eggs. Service was friendly and helpful.

I had an amazing sandwich from this marketplace. I regret not taking a picture of it. It was a corned beef on rye. I will definitely be returning because it was absolutely delicious.

So I stumbled in this little market which is like a gas station without the pumps. Believe or not their sandwiches are pretty darn amazing! Who woulda thunk it? I 've already been back a few times for more. Way better than any Subway I 've ever had. Just beware during after school times because the place is packed with kids in the parking lot zipping all over the place.

I recently had a delicious corned beef on rye sandwich from this market. It was so good that I wish I had taken a picture of it! I will definitely be going back for more.
