Bidra med feedbackOur first visit here and we absolutely loved it. We tried to order safely for trying it for the first time and loved all our entrees. Beef and lamb rib kebob was our favorite and will visit again just for that again! Portions were reasonable with price. Our wait staff was friendly and helped us chose from the menu. Baklava was awesome and not so syrupy. Turkish coffee was excellent served on cezve perfect ending to great dining experience.
This restaurant is saved in my phone as lyubimaya and rightly so! I drive 1.5 hours each way simply to get take-out. I 've been going here since 2011 and have never had a bad experience. I 'm not Eastern European but I speak Russian and I actually appreciate the fact that the staff does not speak to me in English when I 'm addressing them in Russian. The Ukrainian borscht with tandoori bread is my favorite and I simply cannot leave without taking chebureki with me. Every time I leave, I cannot wait to come back.
If you’re looking for some traditional Uzbek foods, then visit this place and give them a chance. You won’t be disappointed. The food was outstanding with a beautiful interior and the service was exceptionally good. Tried out some traditional foods like Samsa, Manti they were mouthwatering! The shikh kabab items were also awesome esp the veal liver salmon shikh! But ya, we took baklava as dessert they were not much good like the Turkish one. Anyway, it was our first time here but def won’t be the last.
On a beautiful summer evening, we were looking for a new spot with outdoor seating to try, stumbled upon Uzbekistan Restaurant on a best of list, and headed toward the northeast for dinner. So glad we did: greatly enjoyed sitting on the covered patio* and trying as many dishes as we could. A number of families were dining and you could tell there were a number of regulars enjoying large pitchers of Compot with BYO mix-ins. Some highlights: the pickled green tomatoes on the Pickled Vegetables platter were out of this world! Also memorable, the Potato Vareniki (small potato dumplings similar to pierogies), the Lamb Kebab, the Pilaf Uzbekistan, and the Honey Cake. Though it was a bit of a trip from Center City, there was ample parking in the parking lot around back, and the food was worth the journey. *Open windows let in both breeze as well as a fair amount of traffic noise from Bustleton Avenue.
The lights kept going out while we were eating, they charged extra for that glass of water that most restaurants provide free of charge.. and the food definitely isn’t the best.
