Five Stars all the way! This is a great jewel of a restaurant in Philly! We are from out of town and wow! were we ever grateful to find this restaurant on Open Table! The best thing about dinner was the wine paring. The flavors just moved in perfect harmony from course to wine to course to wine, all the way through dessert. Service was outstanding the price very reasonable. The chef and wine steward did a great job picking the menus and the wines. Can't wait til we're back in town to go again. (We ate the next day here for lunch.
We had previously dined at Talula's Garden and had one of the most outstanding restaurant meals of our lives. We hoped for a similar experience, but it was not to be. The food was all good, some of it great (fried green tomato first course and Bananas Foster parfait dessert), but it was not all great. However, we enjoyed the food and don't regret coming to dinner at this quirky spot. Nicole, our server, was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. Every other staff person with whom we interacted was friendly and helpful, as well.
Service was great. Food was good, but perhaps not exceptional. Restaurant is a bit crowded, tables close together.
Outstanding prix fixe dinner duck cassoulet was amazing as was the rest of the dinner. Excellent service as well. We really enjoyed the wine pairing as well.
