Mr. Jerk - Philadelphia

The curry chicken was good but they made the white rice like it was grits and it was all chopped up with a slime consistency and within 30 mins had a very bad smell. Everything else was fine but whoever made that rice needs to stay off of rice duty permanently until they get it together.

The Mac and cheese was outstanding ans cabbage what delightful. The jerk chicken was spicy and delicious. Enough for two meals

The owners are super friendly. I was introduced to the place because the owner was outside and told me he would give me a free little plakat because he knew I was a customer when I tasted his food. I don't eat often, but he was right about eating. this place is delicious, has fast service and is clean. when I eat here, eating with very generous portions is always good. the only disadvantage is that they often sell out, which only shows that they are good. So early there!

Reading the reviews I thought I was getting some good Jamaican food and was excited to try it. I’m just gonna say I was highly disappointed. While the portions are nice (reason for the second star) the food was absolutely bland. The rice was a great texture but the curry chicken and its sauce was not flavorful. It literally taste like canned gravy. Maybe I came on a bad day but It was not good.

I had so much leftovers it wasn 't even funny. I tried a groupon for this location and I had a lot of reservations pulling up. I, AS USUAL, should stop judging books by their covers. the guy at the counter was very nice to everyone who came in. Very polite. i stepped out and waited for the crowd (maybe 4 people) to leave. once i got in I got a huge meal and some sides to go. I was skeptical of how everything was so fresh when I got home when it seems like it 's all buffet style back there which could be hit or miss. I was sorely mistaken. I got the salmon which was tender, fresh and well seasoned. the rice was cooked perfectly and the greens were 'worthy ' as I refer to them. I paid little extra for some corn bread and a beef patty(which was frozen they didn 't have any fresh. It 's in my freezer right now). The food was great. Overall it was good from start to finish. this is one of those joints in philly everybody know about but nobody tells anybody. please! go support a local business. This place more than deserves it.
