The ambiente was good. but it was not eating. there was a group of 8 of us for a day, and we were all disappointed about eating. absolutely no spice and the chicken was boiled under for 2 of the girls who fed with me. the garnelen tacos saw and tasted as if they were just a few garnels from a bag and sneaked on a tortilla. the steak tacos looked like fake eating. everything was very bland and disappointing. not authentic Mexican food! I think the only thing that was good at this place was that our waiter was very nice and understanding.

We arrived a little early knowing it was Cinco de Mayo and there could be a delay. Seated straight away and felt like we had the center stage table. It was our 21st wedding anniversary so a special night out. The flavor combinations muy bueno y delicioso! We had a view into the kitchen and Chef Alfredo was a joy to watch such CALM on Cinco de Mayo. We are so very lucky to have this gem of authenticity in our neighborhood and mere blocks from our home. Here for Sunday brunch. This place has been at this location since around the early 1990s. Very basic inside. Not well decorated. Probably could use a few improvements. As you walk in there are only a few tables. Makes you believe the restaurant is very small. There’s another dining room for about 25 people, and an additional dining room upstairs. There’s a few tables outside under a canopy. Service was good. Our server was very nice. Spent a lot of time taking care of take out orders coming in. The food was good. Chips and salsa are served (the nacho chips were cold and not that fresh). I ordered the Huevos rancheros. It was very good. Small portion, served on a hard tortilla (not your typical Huevos rancheros). This place is byob. They have mixers available to make your favourite drinks, if you like. Overall, I did enjoy my time here. I would like to check it out for dinner to give a more balanced review.
