La Peg - Philadelphia

My first time trying la peg was during restaurant week; it was absolutely delicious.

There were open seats available on my birthday for 9:45. We arrived at 9:30 to only be turned away. If the restaurant is closed, why would I be able to make a reservation? Or worse why would an establishment allow us to book, walk over and not at least serve us drinks.

The food and service were good, the menu was short, but had a nice variety.

We went for lunch on a Saturday in August. The food was very good but the portion size was a bit small. They only offered outdoor seating. The staff was excellent. We will return for dinner for sure but maybe not lunch.
