Cantina Avenida - Philadelphia

Out of all the Mexican restaurants I have tried in both Mexico and the USA, this one is definitely one of the top choices. The menu features fresh and expertly prepared dishes. Avenida offers a tasty variety of tacos and classic frits tea, but also serves creative twists on traditional Mexican fare. The ambiance is vibrant, and the service is friendly and attentive. My wife and I are looking forward to coming back soon.

The new iteration of Avendia was a disappointment. The food was delicious, thankful; but the portions were just too small. Yeah, it said little plates and tapas, but I was very hungry. The price tag was quite high for hunger. Only one person in our party was satisfied, but she only eats a little. But again what we ate was wonderful. The Paella was the best I had for years. The Rock Steak was not cooked as rarely as I wished, but still delicious with teeny potatoes. And the salad was just kissed with dressing.

It was small plate meals some meals were too expensive for taste u got. Either lower prices or add some meatballs. Or delicious!

We were looking for a place to have a very early dinner when we stumbled upon Cantina Avenida. What a find! It turns out it was happy hour so we were able to enjoy $3 tacos and $5 drinks on the patio before going off to a 7 pm meeting. The service was excellent, as was the food, and we agreed that we would add this restaurant to our list of places to go.
