Blume - Philadelphia

I want to preface by saying I had VERY LOW expectations and am really not hard to please. I attended for Sips, so I expected house-drinks and simple appetizers. I sat at the bar with two other friends. The interior design is cute, but I will not bereturning. The featured cocktail was so sweet we needed to water it down. The white wine was not drinkable. They were out of alot of our first choice beer wine (or it was upstairs and that was too far to retrieve? we're unclear). I ordered the whippedricotta and a burger from the Sips menu. The consistency of the ricotta was very odd. It tasted more like ground rosemary butter cream than ricotta. I could only eat one bite. The only saving grace was the burger. It tasted like something you'd findat a snack bar or backyard bbq. Very simple, not chef-driven, but it's a cheeseburger so it hits the spot. This is the reasonfor 2 stars instead of one. It was literally the only thing I could finish. Because it was the sips menu, I already had prettylow quality expectations, but I expected edible menu items. Also, it smelled nasty in there. The air was stale and damp.Couldn't figure out if it was vomit, rotten beer, or old mop water. Felt like hot breath was blowing from the vents. On top ofit all, the service was mediocre and they snuck an auto-gratuity on there. I didn't receive an itemized receipt so I missed it.

The atmosphere is cute. The food is not impressive. There were items they didn?t have and the food came separately. They didn?t even have good drinks on the menu. We wouldn?t be returning.

I actually went to the restaurant because an event that I planned to attend was held at the locations. I was definitely impressed. Although young, the waiting staff was definitely attentive and professional. The restaurant is small so if you don?tmake reservations, you may not get a spot. The atmosphere is definitely classy, complete with pictures of classic, Black iconssuch as Cicely Tyson and Dianne Carol. The food and drinks were 5 star experiences. The presentation was superb and tasteddelicious. I had the Creole Shrimp and Grits and a Cubana and Hummingbird. Very impressive first visit. I?ll definitely have togo back so I can try the strawberry shortcake French toast.

First time at Blume during CCD SIPS, the vibe of the atmosphere was great. The ambiance is very cute and definitely photo worthy. The food options could be hit or miss for some depending on what your taste preferences are. My table orderedflatbreads, wings, side cesar salad, burgers and a ricotta cheese starter with almond and honey served with bread. Myrecommendations out of this list would be the burgers, flat breads and wings. The salad was on the salty side and the ricottawas just to sweet to pair with bread or the food options we had. The drinks were absolutely delicious with the hibiscusmargarita being my favorite. I would definitely go back for more wings and flatbread soon! Shoutout to our waitress Anesha, shewas awesome !

Went for brunch didnt like my dish. Eggs were very soft, bacon greasy tots were amazing. Mimosas were good vibe very mice ill go again for the dinner before i write them off.
