Southern Family - Pfafftown

Our waitress was an absolute doll. She couldn't have been any nicer. My grilled chicken salad was delicious and my husband had jumbo fried shrimp. We both enjoyed our meals very much.

The popcorn shrimp was great and there was alot of it. The rest of our food was ok. Watery coffee, bland codfish, mushy coleslaw, etc.

Southern Family was a real treat. The food was great, the staff were very nice, and the portions were massive. Very, very highly recommend this restaurant. The five of us ordered a little bit of everything and shared so we could try it all. Everything on their menu is excellent. Their seafood menu is huge, too. I think there were about a dozen seafood options. We didn't try them all in one visit, but what we did try was excellent. Even the sides were huge and delicious, of course. We all ate until we were about to pop and had PLENTY of leftovers to take home. All around great place to eat and a great value to boot. Vegetarian options: Plenty of fruit and vegetable options on the menu. Parking: Big lot, plenty of spots. Kid-friendliness: The kids had a good time and there was plenty on the menu they would eat. Wheelchair accessibility: All ground floor and wide doors. Easy wheelchair access.

Food is great. Would have rated it a 5 but for the comical thimble of tartar I was given for the amount of fish in the plate. It’s almost insulting lol

One of the best restaurants out there! I come here at least once a week (often twice) and can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience in the eight years I have been coming here. The food is delicious (seafood is what they are known for, but virtually everything on the menu is good). The waitresses are all very personable and will make you truly feel like you are part of their Southern Family. They also have a party room if you have a whole lot of folks to feed. Highly recommend to everyone. This is a Pfafftown landmark! Parking: Never a problem, even when busy.
