They let us sit down and ask if we wanted to order immediately to avoid waiting too long, but without making us see the menu. We then ordered thinking that maybe the availability was a few courses (which then was not so. We ordered 3 sauces (not particularly good, a portion of chips (small , 2 pizzas Margherita, a liter of natural water and a small pinion beer. Total 35 euro. 4 euro a bottle of water does not pay it even in autogrill, and 8 euro a pizza Margherita considering place, location and mediocre quality is improposable. Sine verbas.
Good food...cleaning to see. We found ourselves with dirty pants. Restaurant without envy and without praise.
If you are looking for a traditional cuisine of Abruzzo, with grilled meat, first fresh handmade and a pizza made to perfection...you must come to Petrella. Maria Pia will welcome you with the typical spirit of Abruzzo and Mauro will delight the palate. Recommended... above all in the winter months, when the calm of the mountains feels even more.
We found ourselves very bad especially for the price, too expensive. Being the only tractor bar in Petrella, it is the reference point of the whole country, including card players and truckers passing through! The kitchen is homemade: homemade pasta (fettuccine, ravioloni, gnocchi) to be combined with a few but good condiments (especially the wild boar) more meat cooked to the grill (steaks and roasts in particular) or simple scamorza or with ham. ...and wine donuts offered with coffee or bitter are a must! Friendly and quick service, and owner (Maria Pia) always present. Correct account: first second and contour around 25-30€. They could improve on three things: the menu written with prices instead of listed by voice, some local products (healths, cheeses, meat) most highlighted, and good local wines as well as the forgetable waste of the house.
