Bidra med feedbackThank you John,Ryan,Sabs for a great breakfast and accomadating my brother who had 3 strokes and now blind also lost a lot of mental capacity.we had a great day having breakfast and watching the football Only problem we encountered that spoilt the day was comments from some customers that my brother was exceptionally drunk as he need help to and from the toilet. He had Appletise, Blackcurrant and water then non alcoholic gins. I think it was disgusting of customers to presume everybody who needs help in a pub is drunk.. THE PUB IS GREAT JUST SOME CUSTOMERS NEED EDUCATION AS TO HEATH ISSUES
Turned up Friday lunch with elderly parents. They were busy but happy to accommodate us. Service was a little slow due to staff shortage but staff were welcoming and kept us informed. There wasn’t a large choice but enough for us for lunch. We ordered 2 breakfasts, one small breakfast (which was still substantial) one ham egg and chips and one omelette( good choice of fillings offered) and it came with chips and salad. Food was very tasty and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be going back. For 5 main dishes and 7 drinks the bill came to just over £60
We booked a table here last night as Thursday they do wine deals with seasonal mains and usually it’s really busy. Apart from a couple of tables the place was empty. The table was not set and done on arrival. On asking what the pie of the day was we were told it was turkey cranberry. Seems old for summer and not Christmas. I had the lasagne which I have previously raved about. Well it’s certainly changed. New chef? It lacked flavour and tasted like it was cheap mince. This place is not cheap. The last time we came for a Sunday roast it was Mother’s Day and we notice the portion and vegetable selection had decreased however the price is now £17.95. The reason I am giving 3 stars is the service received by the pleasant young man that served us. I’m sure the nearby **** would have been much busier and with tasty food too.
We booked a table for 4 on a Saturday for brunch at 12 for a mini hen outing prior to going to a spa. The pub was very quiet, so it was a surprise that the service was so slow. We were advised of several items not available on the menu that limited our options. I’d chosen the pub based on positive trip advisor reviews but on this occasion our experience was disappointing.
Ashamed that custermers and staff treated someone with obvious mental issues gave such a disregard for their impairment, thank god I don't have but my daughter and friend are clinecly diagnosed as early on set altzimers and autistic. I have had people day they should be put down. God gelp them when it's their relations. Will they pull the trigger to put a person out of misery as farmers do
