Bidra med feedbackStayed four nights in the hotel. Had two dinners here. First one was fabulous. Sylvia took great care of us. Had a nice bottle of Montepulciano from the local area. Shared the raviolis stuffed with cod with a tomato and all of sauce and the Tagliatta of beef. Both excellent and flavorful. Prices are a little high but by sharing we kept things under control also had a mixed salad which was excellent. 91 euro total. Decided to eat there the second night because we were tired from touring to Urbino. Had a very nice meal but not as good as the first one. Started with sharing the tagliatelle pasta with shrimp and tomatoes. It was excellent! Then shared the white fish entrée. It was very good but the portion was a little small for the price. Had a really nice bottle of Castella de Jedi local white wine. Both nights they only had one server handling six or seven tables. Could’ve used some extra help and service would’ve been a bit more prompt. However, very happy we ate there.
We decided to go for a taste meny of fish. That was terrible decision. We have ben eating menus many times but this was a total disaster when in comes to taste. Some of the courses was hardly eatable. The wine and the service perfect but a place like this should never ever present a meal like this. The wine was presented perfect. In the light that we often eat in restaurangs with one or more stars i Guide Michelin it was a clear disappointment. You have to work hard to resolve. If you cant keep up during low season, shut down,
Smart room, hushed tones and young, good looking service. This would be a special occasion venue for most of us,but we visited as there was a storm outside. The food and wine were all good,as was the service, but overall we felt it lacked character and spark.
The staff are lovely and the wine was superb but the food wasn't up to the standard we'd anticipated. We were the only customers at lunchtime, so maybe that's the reason. The food took an incredibly long time to come and didn't seem to be as described. I ordered the raviolo as an antipasto part of it was tepid and part of it was ice cold. I told the waitress who took it back. She then came out of the kitchen and said that the dish was supposed to be served cold. A bit of a communication issue there, since it didn't say so on the menu, either in Italian or in English and she didn't seem to know it was supposed to be cold. It surprised me that's the first time I've ever had a tepid/ice cold raviolo. Perhaps it would be a good idea to add that to the description on the menu. I won't go into great detail about the rest of our meal, except to say that it wasn't one of the highlights of our stay and certainly not one of the best meals I've had in Italy. Also, the portion size for the other antipasto (octopus) which my colleague ordered, was unexpectedly enormous.
Well after staying at the hotel for 2 weeks, looking at the restaurant sign everyday, thinking maybe som day, and then maybe not... Last day of our stay we decided to eat at the restaurant, and what a surprise. All the reviews of the restaurant is positive, so in that area I wasn't surprised. It was so much better than expected, the service was superior and the food excellent. The restaurant is one of those, were you look at the room I the daytime and think, this is to clean and modern but in the evening it's so cosy and elegant. Don't wait till the last night, you might want to go again, and again, and again....
