A simple restaurant with a charming waitress; the food was excellent and much cheaper than more pretentious places. The house Merlot was €5 and delicious.

Personal family service, great people; food is excellent and prepared perfectly; easy parking and nice area; definitely on the repeat list of good restaurants, this is at least our 2nd visit with American friends that live in the area;

My wife and I have lived in Perugia for 8 years and this is one of our favorite restaurants. We happened upon it by chance. We could not believe the prices. We started telling our Italian friends about it and they went nuts over it. It would take volumes to tell of all the wonderful meals and experiences we have had at La Pannocchia. The best thing is the roasted chicken with potatoes. But it is not on the menu and you have to reserve it a day in advance. No one here speaks a single word of English. So here is what you do. Have someone who speaks Italian call 075-6919953 and order pollo arrosto con patate and tell them the number of persons. When you arrive, order spaghetti amatriciana as the primi. Do not order an antipasto because that will be too much. Ask for vino roso all’ambiente. If you want the real Italy, this is it. If you want to feel like part of an Italian family, this is it. If you want fancy, this is not it.
