Bidra med feedbackLove the ambiance of this restaurant sitting right on the waterfront with beautiful views of the Swan river. Simple, interesting menu with fresh ingredients. Always the basis of a succesful venue. The onion tarte tatin was delicious & loved the addition of the goats cheese
Been to this lovely restaurant many times now. Love the views of the river. The food is delicious. Took my mother here for her birthday and she enjoyed the food. Seafood is fresh and the dishes are cooked well. Great place whether the company is small or large.
This was our second time at Halo, the first was amazing so we had high expectations. We went for our 5th anniversary dinner. My partner got the prawn entree and was not impressed, very bland and tasteless. I had the scallops which were nice. The mains were tasty but not worth nearly $50. The deserts were really disappointing. I had a desert containing rhubarb that was undercooked and very sour. My partner had a chocolate dessert which didn't satisfy him at all. The service was terrible and the atmosphere was rubbish. So disappointing after we had such a lovely experience a few years ago where the food and service were amazing.
First time here and to be honest have never noticed this restaurant amongst the shag. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. They were down a chef on this occasion and I assume the manager was very honest in terms of wait time. We decided to sit and due to the wait of food he brought out bread immediately which was on the house aswell as our first round of drinks. Very well done although we didn't expect freebies the service was there. The only downfall would be a minimal menu with very few options. Would also like to see more vegetarian dishes but under new owners so I'm hoping to see good things pumped out of the kitchen in the future. Aesthetically was ok. Maybe improvement to decor to create that warm ambiance especially now that we are in winter and maybe a paint job on the ceiling as it appears to be run down.
4 of us rock up on Mothers Day at 1pm wiyh no reservation. And of course they are fully booked but Rhys looks for the solution- are we happy to sit at the breakfast bar. Yes. Rhys suggests some cold plates that will be quicker to arrive. They are also original, fresh, absolutely delicious. We elect to share mains: lamb, fish, seriously cheeky mash, salade. Portions are sensible, not vast and fine for us. Quality: very good, service: exemplary, ambience: perfect casual-smart.
