Bidra med feedbackWhen the site said bring everything you would if you were camping except a tent, I did! Turns out I really didn’t need to at all! Almost everything is here with the exception of bedding. Microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster. Lamp, light and Tv! I stayed in a hob pod for two. It was super clean and smelled lovely when I arrived. Couldn’t fault anything at all. Having no toilet or shower is hard work. But I coped. Toilet block was fine, served it’s purpose. Surrounding area is beautiful, the site is on the loch, with a National park opposite the road you arrive on. Killin village is very pretty. Nothing much there at all. Most shops seem to have closed or are closing, but guess that the economic climate. Would definitely come here again.
I cannot speak to the quality of the restaurant, but the campground allows groups of intoxicated young people to play loud music late into the night, much to the frustration of other campers who voiced their displeasure. The situation could have been avoided if the warden had intervened earlier in the evening, but unfortunately, he chose to ignore the issue and there was no night warden present. Our night was completely ruined as a result.
Really good food and service. The Cullen skink was excellent and served boiling hot with lovely bread. The fish and chips were crispy and delicious as was the hunters chicken. Highly recommend this restaurant
