Ristoro Del Castello - PERLEDO

There are a lot of places to eat sprinkled liberally around the shores of Lake Como, most of them very good and many of them close enough to the waters edge that you could almost paddle and drink your coffee at the same time. Il Ristorato Del Castello is different. You get, quite possibly, the best view of the lake from the terrace here of any other eatery on the approximately 100 miles of shoreline and there’s no chance of being bothered by any of the thousands of curious ducks and passive aggressive swans that patrol the shallows. Why? Because this is the cafe at Vezio Castle and it’s several hundred feet up a steep hill. You wouldn’t come here just for the food and drink (there’s nothing wrong with it it’s good, but nothing special. It’s just a tourist attraction cafe after all), but you would come here for the views and a very pleasant relaxing coffee and panini after the long climb from Varenna to visit the castle. We were here on the very last day of the season before the castle goes into hibernation for the winter. It was a fine, mild day and the place was moderately busy. It was very pleasant and the coffee was great. My daughter had hot chocolate which was just that, a mug of melted chocolate. She thought she had died and gone to heaven! On a warm day in summer I can imagine it would be hard to find a lovelier spot than this to drink a coffee or a beer and take in the views.

We had 4 piadini all were perfect. Best price incl. entrance fee. Staff speak english, kind, helpful and flexible. Recommend to everyone. Grazie mille!

Stopped here today after a busy to the castle. Friendly service and very reasonable rates but put off a little seeing the 'chef ' making me a toastie after having a cigarette without washing her hands. Em...

Siamo arrivati già sapendo che, scegliendo di pranzare al rinfresco del castello, il biglietto d'ingresso per la visita al castello era già compreso. piacevole sorpresa scoprire che anche il semplice menu panino/focaccia/piadina era abbondante, grande, anche incluso bevanda e caffè. Personale molto gentile e posto davvero bello. Potrebbero approfittare della loro posizione (come in molti luoghi accade) e applicare prezzi più alti invece. Lo consiglio a tutti

Pranzo veloce prima di visitare il castello; menu 10€ tra cui piadina (o focaccia o panino,) bibite analcoliche, caffè e ingresso al castello, che singolo costerebbe 5€. servizio veloce e amichevole. onestamente 5€ solo per visitare il castello non sarebbe stato così conveniente.
