Lariat Steakhouse - Peoria

Had a wonderful meal today with a high school friend from 40 years ago. We had the Rubens and they were absolutely positively delicious. The service was also fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant. Never had a bad meal here

The first time i ordered the ribeye sandwich, it was delicious and about 3/8 thick. Tonite i ordered it and got about an 1/8 thick steak. Hit and miss i guess.

We were very disappointed with our food here. It was a busy Saturday night, so maybe they were short staffed. But the 4 of us ordered medium cooked steaks, and each came out medium well to well done one had literally no pink at all. The actual meatquality and taste was very underwhelming. Three of us ordered mashed potatoes for a side, and it was clearly potatoes from a boxand came out cold. The prime rib was very thin and a let down. I will say the French onion soup was delicious, but otherwise itfelt like a meal we could've eaten at Denny's. Really disappointing and frustrating when you're paying a high price for a nicesteak dinner.

We would like to thank Dan for his gracious hospitality ???? The food and drinks were excellent! We shared the sampler platter... ribs, chicken strips,steak kabob and bacon wrapped shrimp. All were amazing! The drinks were great as well! Thisestablishment is very highly recommended ! Wonderful experience !

I dined with two others, and ALL of us were very happy with our meals. My steak kabobs were flavorful and grilled to perfection. Perhaps the most astounding of all the foods were the beer-battered onion rings. OH. MY. WORD. They were amazing. We are onionring connoisseurs, and these have taken 1st place on our long list of all the kinds we have tried! :
