The Red Lion Inn - Penzance

Authentic, beautiful pub with a large beer garden on the back with some sea view. The crab soup is beautiful and worth the visit alone. Very recommended.

This is true homage to the English pub, welcoming and friendly, which serves some very good food. Reservation in advance is essential unless you are very happy, we enjoyed the delicious crab soup, white baby starter and the grilled fish was excellent. This is somewhere we come every time we are in Penzance/newlyn, even for a beer to enjoy the friendly local atmosphere.

Simple pub well made. The pub is rustic and looks at the port, staff friendly. We had a starter of the crab soup that was fresh, delicious and a large part. Then I had fish and chips, fresh and perfectly cooked. My partner had the crab cake that was fresh, homemade and big. Good food, reasonable prices, good portions. Very nice

We have been here a few times in recent months and have really enjoyed every visit. Kindness and cleanliness are second to none. Recommend the food. The new landlords are very friendly and have done a wonderful job. We can't judge this pub high enough. It'll be back after time. Mick and Allister
