Saltys Beach Restaurant - Penticton

What a funny and fabulous little restaurant, a wonderful fund in penticton. hubbys steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. Despite the ovens not working on this evening, the chef could still create the pistachio mahi which was melted in the mouth. the server were attentive and friendly. they eat there, they will be happy they have done!

We all had the Wedge salad. yumm! enchiladas were beyond a dream, fish and chips excellent and the burger was exalted. service and ambiente. also at half price wein through the bottle

Pros beautiful venue and in the position to sit outside! nice service of kiki, but then she went and we didn't get so good service of several waiters from street parking nice heating for outdoor door restaurants cons not to eat delicious and over price. $39 for. a very small piece mahi mahi. we were not allowed to be happy we were sitting outside. terrible! why should that be? $39.00 for uttering extremely very not really mature not too many local wee why serve California wee at $49 if they have so great local wee have luck hour prizes not honored when they are sitting. terrible politics! we will not come back. I wouldn't recommend if they want a tourist trap!

Eating was fair too good, but not spectacular enough to wait for the waiter. we asked him to clarify our table so that we could make a group picture and he said he was too busy. then we asked for separate bills and that was an inconvenience. one of our group paid cash. she asked him to walk her and she would give him his tip. he said he would have to go back to change so that it would take one. he had to count the changes, nods and dimes or the bills? what! I am the only one who finds this too rude. from a group of 4 ladies to lunch he made well over 15.00 in tips and had the nerve to try to get more. tipping is out of hand, especially with the cost for everything in today's world. No, I'm not going back.

We had not been to Salty's since before Covid. It was great at that time. Recently we tried to reserve a table inside for six of us. We initially were told it would be a 45min wait so we left and returned only to find...that they now wanted to seat us outside right beside a lineup of people wanting to come in. For whatever reason there were at least five different employees dealing with reservations and nobody was on the same page. When we finally got inside, as initially promised, the high light of the evening was our waiter...he knew what customer serve was all about. Food was ok. Would not return again.
