I grew up shopping at Safeway but haven't gone in a long time. It's really nice to see it is still how it used to be. The lighting is much more pleasing to the eyes. My only complaint is that the aisles and where certain products go doesnt make complete sense but this could honestly because I worked for a different grocery chain in the past and agreed with how it was organized. Staff was friendly and quick. Was really glad the cashier double bagged my groceries to ensure the paper bags didn't break.

Always thought highly of safeway as my mom shopped here for years and years ... Happy it is still here to get some fresh potatoe wedges in me this morning so Im not starving myself... but not impressed that im paying tax for them Does BC charge PST on food? Expensive place with tons of options but it's not as good as the east coast Safeway which partnered with Rochelle bary to create a whole foods experience section. would love to see a Okanagan section or a bigger health food remodel for the prices that you pay here Id just go to Superstore

I have ordered special occasion cakes at the Safeway bakery multiple times over the years and have always been satisfied. However I may have ordered my last one there a few days ago. It was lovely to look at and I can 't even say if the 'cake ' itself was good because we couldn 't get past the icing which was grossly sweet ! Nobody could eat it. Some managed to eat a bit of the cake under the icing. Oh my what a waste!! If ordering one, be sure to specify a different type of icing or find another bakery.
