Irish Politicians Club - Pensacola

We had seen an Irish pub and thought it was where we were going, but McGuires wasn't there where we thought it was. Found it nearby and wow what a place! Food was EXCELLENT and if you think everything came with your steak, very cheap. We had a great waitress, Ms Sweet, and she gave us a fun and special evening.

This Irish pub was amazing. Everyone was super friendly. The French dip and the shepherd's Pie was absolutely divine. We had enough left to take home for another meal.

My wife and I went to McGuires Friday afternoon for drinks and food.(3:45). We always try to get there a little early to get seats at the bar. We ordered a couple drinks, house salad, hamburger, and clams with mussels. Salad came promptly (5 minutes) A gentleman arrived 15 minutes later and sat next to us and ordered a hamburger.He promptly receive his burger while we were still waiting. We asked new (shift change) bartender to check on our order after she went out on the floor without giving us status. It had been 30+ minutes so I told bartender to cancel order. Then everyone scurried to check on order which was ready. We were already disappointed and decided to eat elsewhere. They wanted to comp us the meals to take with us but I declined and payed for drinks. I don't see how comping food compensates for poor service. We have been going to McGuires for over 30 years and this is a first. Let me say that since shutdown the dynamic has drastically changed at McGuires and apparently there are serious management issues.

Well another year to have supper at one of my favorite spots… the food is always good and the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful!! Love McGurie’s

This place was so good! Service is 100% and the food quality is outstanding. Jay was our server, it was his first day and he was phenomenal! Thank you to everyone for the great service and fun time :
