Bidra med feedbackMy husband and I decided to treat ourselves and go to Alice's restaurant for an early New Year's Eve dinner at 6:00. It was our first time dining there. The building resembled a dated 1980s office building lacking character, with a large overhead ventilation system. We were seated in an overflow room and waited 13 minutes before a waiter finally came to our table. Despite it being cold outside, the air conditioning made the room uncomfortably chilly, forcing me to keep my coat on throughout the meal. Our waiter, Chris, seemed disorganized and mentioned he had been drinking, but assured us he would return. After filling our water glasses and offering complimentary champagne and bread, he failed to inform us of the specials. I ordered a Zinfandel wine while my husband requested a peanut butter Manhattan, which Chris later informed us they were out of. We settled for a bacon old fashioned instead, which was disappointing. Our food, however, was delicious once it arrived. I had the seabass and my husband had the eel ink fettuccine with shrimp, which were the highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, the prices were extremely high considering the mediocre service and unpleasant ambiance. We don't plan on returning or recommending this restaurant.
The food was bland and lacking flavor. The asparagus and potatoes were visibly dirty.
I have never had a disappointing meal at this restaurant. It will surely be missed.
We came for Christmas Eve and expected great quantities. It was fun. There was a lot of energy in the wine bar and unfortunately our waitress has completely neglected us. We had to go upstairs and get our own drinks at the bar because they never came back after the first drink order. I know it was busy, and most places are still a little underused, but they neglected us The appetizer was amazing. The salad was terrible as the salad in soggy the lake bass was spectacularly devastated.
Food staff are excellent! Great wine offering! We love to dine in the bar area.
