Milieu at The Bushman's Inn - PENOLA

Formerly known as The Bushmans Inn, MILIEU is definitely worth a visit for a relaxed meal of delicious small plates. We tried 5 dishes for two people, along with a tasty local wine, cider, and stout. The restaurant is well-managed and provided a truly enjoyable experience after a day of exploring and tasting.

My nieces, nephew, and I had a great time at this restaurant for dinner. The menu was very intriguing and we loved sampling the new tapas dishes that we had never tried before. Everything was delicious. Kudos to the chef!

This tapas restaurant is a delightful spot. The dining area is beautifully decorated with a high long table, lounge chairs by a fireplace, and regular dining tables, creating a spacious and relaxed atmosphere. The food was wonderfully prepared, and sharing five plates between two was more than enough. The waiter was attentive, friendly, and efficient despite the busy night with about twenty diners. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and reasonably priced meal. I would definitely come back next time I am in Penola.

Great service and excellent food - a busy night at the end of the week for Milieu - great communication from staff (1) about shortages and limits.Went out of his way to let us know what was happening as he was run off his feet.The food and wine were both excellent - great choices for both !

We really enjoyed our visit last evening - a special treat after 3 weeks of caravan travel with only 1 pub meal! This was a very tasty experience, but would have been even better with friends to share an even greater variety of such great food! Loved the broccoli in miso butter, the wagyu meatballs AND the oysters! Wine selections were easy and enjoyable by the glass, and the open fire allowed us to enjoy our cheese platter at the end of the night. Good service from a single staff in front of house, do hope they have more when busy!Highly recommended when on the region. Good value as well.
