Bidra med feedbackHaven't been here in about 20 years. Great place, good food, excellent service. Enjoying my time with my other half and fellow explorer.
The place is a real dive from the outside, and when we walked in at 5:30 the dining room was empty but for a sign that said “no waitress tonight, see bartender for service.” We went in and found a table. The room was dimly lit, but not in a bad way. We had taken a picture of the specials on our way in and everything sounded good, but then a gal the bartender? popped in from another room and handed us one of the most extensive menus I’ve ever seen. It was honestly hard to decide, everything from frog legs to veal marsala, to deep fried burgers. We got a fresh mozzarella and tomato plate for the table, I got the crab stuffed mushrooms, my husband the French dip, and son the chili Mac with tots. No one left hungry! The service was slow but she warned of that, said it was just her and one cook running the whole place. We pulled out a deck of cards and played a game while we waited. They kindly brought our son’s food out first when it was ready. By the time we left at 7:00 every table was full and I can see why. What a fun little hidden gem!
We stopped to taste some good beers, the choice is truly extraordinary and the managers are affable and kind. Truly a nice place!
If you’re really hungry don’t go to this place. The service is super slow. They have bar on the side and dining on the other side of the place maybe thats the reason the service is pretty slow. But the food is great and the staff are awesome.
The food was good, the service and atmosphere were better. They have a good selection of beers and spirits to go with your meal. For example there was Chimay ale available, as well as some local breweries I wasn't familiar with they were good though.
