The Boat Inn - Penkridge

We visited the boat yesterday for a meal. We had seen it advertised a lot on Facebook and the menu looked really good with lots of choices. The food was good I had a stake which was nice. The service was good the staff were very friendly and attentive. But then this singer came on just when we were about half way through our meals. The music was very loud and he was not a very good singer. Had to cringe a bit when he tried to get the high notes. We finished our meals quickly and left another couple also did the same. Wasn't sure at first as a little slow with menu's, drinks order, etc... but overall the food was amazing, and very reasonably priced.... We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return in future Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Very well run pub with a switched on manager and a tremendous chef.The steak and ale pie was the best I've ever had. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
