Seehotel Eichenhain Strandhaus

After 3 other places this week, Eichenhain beat them all. Food, view, service, wines was very good. Will come back for sure.

We stayed at the hotel at had dinner twice at this restaurant. The food is excellent and very friendly staff. Only downpoint is the limited choice of dishes if you go more often, but if you intend to only go there once there is plenty.

While staying at the Seehotel Eichenhain we chose to have a 4-course "candle-lit" set meal and I'm very glad that we did. Although there was no choice offered we enjoyed 4 excellent courses including Carpaccio of Beef as a starter and some beautifully cooked and presented Lamb Rack (with a hint of Chilli). The soup course (carrot and ginger) was interesting and we ended with a delightful desert. The accompanying glasses of wine we chose for the various courses were very good indeed from an extensive collection (with the red wine thoughtfully poured early to let it breathe). We were slightly disappointed that there were no desert wines though. Overall, excellent value for money and thoroughly enjoyable.
