Sealevel - Pedalion Point

The service was friendly and fast, and the food was beautiful. I would highly recommend trying the fish and feathers dish. I will definitely be returning. This is one of the top restaurants in Mission Beach.

Went to Sea Level last night with 13 others. The service was very prompt, and the waiter very friendly and helpful. We ordered and the meals came out promptly. There were no mistakes. The calamari was cooked nicely and was flavoursome, the creamy entree of prawns was delicious, the entree of garlic bread was a bit dry lacking butter and garlic, but the bread itself was a large serve and tasty. the seafood linguini was not a creamy sauce, but chilli with oils and tasty. Very good. The flat head fish tails were delicious. All up a very enjoyable night.

This restaurant could be so good - the location is perfect on the beachfront in central Mission. Instead the owners have squandered the potential and have served up a totally underwhelming and lacklustre offering. On a Saturday night there were few people dining so imagine our surprise when there was only a choice of 2 dishes from the menu. This was only evident after we had ordered and then been told that 2 of our choices were unavailable. The waitress was very inexperienced and whilst trying her best, clearly didn't know much about the food on offer nor the wine and drinks list. One of our starters didn't turn up and then the main course (we all had the same) was a bitter disappointment. Whilst the barramundi was well cooked but tiny, the accompaniments were dreadful. Badly cooked frozen chips and nondescript vegetables rounded of the painful dining experience. We were the last to leave and discovered the owner was in the restaurant enjoying drinks with friends. When we engaged him in conversation he made no effort to enquire how our meal had been so we offered nothing in return. Our overall experience was echoed but his complete disinterest in us. Avoid at all costs, almost anywhere else in Mission is better.

When we arrived I asked for a long black coffee, only to be told that they don't do long blacks but I could go next door and order one there and bring it back if I wanted to. Who doesn't serve coffee with breakfast? I saw some other patrons drinking what looked like lattes, so maybe the waitress just didn't understand.The menu was very limited and when our bacon and eggs turned up it was so basic - it was on white toast! No sign of sour dough bread, spinach, mushrooms, hollandaise and definitely no smashed avocado. I had a bacon and egg roll which was like something you would get at a road house. The view however was gorgeous so if you are happy with a really basic brekky and BYO coffee you might be happy?
