The Smuggler's Rest - Peacehaven

I don't know if I would recommend it. the ambiente is good and it is nice and warm, but eating was disappointing.

It is great to eat also, the service is so beautiful.

We celebrated our high-time anniversary. there was a little confusion about the open table reservation, but it was quickly and politely resolved. each of us ordered another dish of ribs to healed and all enjoyed our meal. our services were attentive, but not intrusive. wonderful evening.

We went to this Pub for a Birthday meal as a party of people. of us chose meals with Sweet Potato Fries and both sets of Fries were cold. These were promptly sent back to the kitchen and returned to us frazzled, obviously been put in the microwave. Another diner had triple cooked chips and these were seriously overdone. The fish finger sandwiches were lukewarm and there was much more batter than fish as well. All in all this was a bad experience, made worse by the fact that it was the Birthday of one of the older members of our party. The management of this Vintage Inn are missing a trick here as this place has a fabulous location overlooking the ocean and a great decking terrace area but the view alone is not enough to make people return unless they just come for drinks, this is an opportunity missed.

It was too busy for them to handle being Mother’s Day had to wait too long between courses and they ran out of spoons and jugs
