Hot Rod Diner - Payson

Best place to eat in payson if not all of ut co. I found this place the other week and love it

I liked the country fried steak, but the biscuits gravy were served cold. The server was out of the room to work on a project most of the time but checked in enough to make it work. I'm confused by the other reviews that show a brightly colored retro diner with nice booths, tiled floors, etc. The diner at this address has no booths, old carpet, and simple tables and chairs. They went for the retro diner vibe with some wall decorations but it's a completely different place from what other reviews show.

Small restaurant, in a bowling lane building. Service was slow, but the food was very good.

Quick service good food. Order at the register and they’ll bring it to your table.

We're from out of town and chose Hot Rod at random. Glad we did! The food was great! We got our own sodas the instant We walked in so nice on a hot summer day. We ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Monte Cristo with good fries and onion rings no extra cost to sub onion rings for fries! Ask for their made in house ranch dressing it's the best I've had from any restaurant! The staff was friendly and happy to help. Just a single lockable restroom, but it was clean and nice. I loved the old rock n' roll music they played. Thanks, Hot Rod Diner, for a great afternoon lunch!
