From Pavia I expect a genuine and tasty cuisine that recalls a bit the Oltrepo Pavese and its flavors. The dishes were medium good, nothing that struck us particularly. The service a little uncoordinated.

Warm and friendly place, attentive and kind staff, menu with quality-price-selection excellent. We took the meat, the side dish of potatoes was included and it was all really great, suggested wine included. I feel like I strongly recommend this place.

For the pastries such as the undersigned Vigoni pastry shop is first and foremost the historic place of reference for a breakfast outside the house or the purchase of desserts (classic or traditional). In 2016 the owner obtained a local in what was the original laboratory with the idea of proposing the most characteristic dishes of the province in a renewed but historical environment – in the room is still present the old oven in which the desserts were prepared until a few years ago. The choice is always very wide, with an excellent choice of appetizers and risottos (we are in Pavia, it could not be different in fixed or seasonal variations. I have often found out menu proposals particularly interesting (pleasant to those in accompaniment to the white truffle in January and a couple of infra-week evenings with tasting menu of excellent level in combination with cellars of the Oltrepò or the nearby Piemonte. The wine card in this regard is very rich (the best of Pavia according to me along with that of the old Pavia in Certosa and for all the pockets. For personal taste I prefer Piedmontese red wines and in the room I always received good suggestions. Sweets are played at home. The tables are well spaced and the service is courteous and fast.
