Bidra med feedback2nd place I've brought to the Zomato kitty People who've known the Boring road area have often told me about Janta in the last 2 months of my stay at Patna speak volumes of the food here. Being a resident of this area myself, I realized that not only is this place well located, but also serves food that caters to pretty much all moods. So when I couldn't find it on Zomato, I was a little confused but still went ahead and ordered. The first dish I had here was Palak Paneer and it surely hit the spot! Though the tandoori rotis were chewy but nothing much to complain about. Being very close to my house, this has been my fire brigade in terms of crisis situations and it always...read more

** 2nd place I've brought to the Zomato kitty ** People who've known the Boring road area have often told me about Janta in the last 2 months of my stay at Patna & speak volumes of the food here. Being very close to my house, this has been my fire brigade in terms of crisis situations and it always delivers on the expectation. The Chinese food is decent as well but expect the Indian touch to it. It is advised not to go for tandoori roti or naans while ordering as they become inedible most of the times. Tawa roti is there speciality as the name suggests they are traditionally a bhojnalaya. If you crave for simple home like food, lower the expectations a bit and have a thali here! The quality is just about average but will surely fill you up with a superb RoI. For the home delivery part, they are not the quickest and a simple order for 1 also takes about 40-45 mins most of the times but the food is hot & well packed. They also make sure to provide plastic cutlery and side salads. Janta is a place only to fill the tummy & not at all a place to dine on the smallest of occasions. The staff is responsive but crude as providing you with a memorable experience is not on their Job description for sure. Hygiene might also be an issue for some, so if you're too sensitive about all these factors, its better you give this place a skip! Overall Recommendation : Prefer mineral water, avoid fancy dishes & if you aren't eating a thali, getting the food delivered is, in my opinion, a better option! **** UPDATE : Based on a few more orders **** Egg Chowmein : Tasted pretty okay but does have issues related to oiliness. Also the small portion offered at 60/- bucks is barely sufficient for a person. Shahi Paneer & Chilli Paneer : While both have tastes which are poles apart, their shahi paneer is not a dish you would want to order something until you have a great affinity for sweet food. After a while into the meal, it was just too much sweetness to handle for me! The chilli paneer is nothing like the usual Indianized Chinese dish you would've had, but is still good in taste. This could be given a try! Bon Appétit! :)
