El Sabor Tropical - Paterson

First order from here was contemporary (super sweet driver) but unfortunately did not receive what I asked. I asked for BBQ ribs and just got them. The part was also very small for the price... 1 rib thrown in, 90% rice.. The food is good, but her service could be much better.

The food is great but I don’t know why lately the portions have been way smaller. This is supposed to be a chimichurri and fries and I can actually count the fries… Same thing with the rice and meats, the portions are way smaller

Im fed up with this place! This was my go to for many years but as of late every order has a been a disaster. It must be my fault for continuing to support a place that has no concern for their customer base, especially the loyal ones. The food used to be amazing now it’s iffy. I’ve received cold food, tiny pork chops (two were equivalent to one! , ordered churrasco and it tasted as if the meat was no good. I couldn’t even eat it! Have been served tres leches that tasted weird as well. Today was the last straw as I NEVER RECEIVED MY FOOD AFTER WAITING FOR AN HOUR+ and the restaurant didn’t even answer the phone (3 calls . The level of unprofessionalism is unreal!

I used to go here for years but they have fallen off. They skipped me in line 2 times. No organization skills there when managing customers. Food is alot less for the price. Dried or burnt. Alot of time they got my order wrong too.

I recently bought two five dollars order of pernil. 1. The lady serving me served so little i fit the two containers she gave me in just one. (she also wasn’t very nice… 2. It tasted very old. Like it was out for days. There was no taste, and honestly lacked any seasoning. 3. Unfortunately, this once great restaurant, is no longer the way they were. I’m really sad that they lost their touch, it was my favorite dominican restaurant. Go to costar bar instead
