Bidra med feedbackTogether with my son during a morning mountain bike ride, we decided to take a coffee/climate break and enjoy the incredible Mont Blanc view in Plaine-Joux before the departure. The cook prepared some cake crusts and we have the discussion about homemade versus factorymade and... I was glad to learn that mostly everything was made in this restaurant and that they made everything from raw materials that were produced locally. Thanks to the great discussion, we decided to book for the next day for dinner with my wife and we can only confirm the quality of food and the incredible taste of the house made blueberry cake... We had an incredible sun last night and colors that were amazing and I will try to attach a picture if possible. The staff was very friendly and they liked to offer small blankets when it began to be a little fresh outside. All in all, probably one of the best dinner experiences with incredible landscape. We recommend and the prices are really honest and correct if you compare the offer!! And the cherry on the cake is that I could have a fondue only for one person... This place is a must when you're here.
The owner screamed me out because my passport didn't work for a technical mistake. It's expensive and the food is really bad... just choose another restaurant.
This is an excellent mountain restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and we ate on the terrase with amazing views of the Mont Blanc Range with Mont Blanc centre stage. Excellent choice of local and some international food. We had the burger with foie gras....It was wonderful. cooked perfect and well presented. The price was right for the situation so all in all a place to visit.
Location is beautiful! From a plateau to the valley to the monumental Mont Blanc, there is a beautiful small restaurant with perhaps the best terrace at all... the view is fantastic! And you also serve beautifully made food... right forward and honest cooking paired with... excellent service... Can help take care of well and well fed... Tomorrow back to the mountain!
The location is the key. La Bergerie is one of three restaurants located near the small ski resort Plaine Joux, above the Plateau d 'Assy/Passy. All three share a magnificent view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks in the south, and are close to the cliffs from Les Fiz to the Pointe de Plate, behind them in the north. Although there are seating, most tables on the decking are outside to take advantage of the view. The clientele tends to be hikers and skiers, although some people go to the plateau to have a drink or a meal in a charming location with a view. The service was fast and charming, the food was nice, and includes some local specialities such as fondue. However, the menu is limited and meals are not particularly good if you have an appetite after exercise. A large café au lait, the standard tariff of many British, is served in a moderate glass cup. There is a good selection of drinks, including Pelforth Brune, which is relatively rare in Chamonix Valley. There are only two beers on tap, including Pelforth Blonde. The positives: the view; the ambience; the service; and comfortable seating. They serve a beautiful hot chocolate. Less positive: limited menu; small meals (although not cheap), disappointing beer on tap There are a few parking spaces near La Bergerie, including one of the disabled dedicated, and there is a very large parking space in a few minutes walk. The toilets comprise a changing device for babies.
