Altstadtgrill - Passau

Enjoyed the grilled wood charcoal over sawn spinat with too home made gnocchi so much we went back for a second meal here!

Our Viking river boat was next to the old town hotel and after the tour in the city we had lunch in the old town grill. it is small- just about eight tables and a small bar seating another eight person- but service was excellent and the selection of food very good....Our daughters appreciate the healthy menu options. if they are in passau and like to eat in an excellent restaurant next to the donau, consider old-city grill.

This restaurant in the old town hotel is the antithesis of the stereotypical hotel restaurant. it serves excellent, imaginative eating in a modern ambiente. besides the main menu ende september there was a whole page of recipes on the basis of seasonal chanterelle...Mushrooms a further page of oriented presented creations of a chef in the training. his pumpkin soup was exceptional. the main menu offers a lot of interesting things to do. the prices were very appropriate for a restaurant of this quality. I highly recommend it. the window tables offer a good view of the donau. we were on a bike trip in passau. the guides did not mention this restaurant when they recommended to eat places. we appealed to them to correct this dazzling omission. even if they do not stay in the old town, they go to the restaurant. when they enjoy gourmet food, they will be glad that they are.

Freshly baked brot! super friendly owner! the darker tasted just good.

The best döner I've ever eaten. the ingredients are always fresh and tasty. the owner is very friendly and therefore the total package is from the front to the back.
