Cello Ristorante & Bar - Paso Robles

Excellent calamari appetizer, crispy, crunchy; lamb was a little fatty, but good quality. Entree came with nice array of vegetables. Sat on the patio outside. A bit breezy but they had a heater. Saw a nice sunset. The resort is large; big entry way; Italian concept but Indian art in the hallways. Somewhat of an elegant feel, leaning toward the garish.

Stunning ambiance, but the food fell short of expectations. It wasn't terrible, but I wish the back room didn't feel like a thoroughfare for people coming in and out of the back doors. The decor in the main dining area was more elegant and the setting was better. The staff at the reception and for reservations were top-notch. The kitchen, however, could use some improvement. Overall, the rest of the hotel was beautiful. The outdoor seating was also very enjoyable.
