Bidra med feedbackSolid burger! The chicken tenders are awesome and are hand breaded with an out of this world house ranch. The tater tots were done perfectly. My wife ate all her fries so I didn't get to try those but they were obviously good. It was very nice to sit outside and enjoy the day and the views.I will also say that we spent several years in Germany so the Hefeweizen from Two Coast Brewing Company was quite a surprise. Great beer, highly recommend.
We came here tonight on a spur of the moment trip after some Black Friday shopping. Honestly, the customer service was so bad that we should have walked out. The lady at the register was barely able to engage in a simple greeting before we ordered and the overall vibe and attitude from the staff present seemed like they were completely over their shift. And I get it, this is a highly populated area and it was probably a long day with people coming and going in between shopping but a little enthusiasm would have been totally fine compared to the disengagement coming off the staff working. Overall, the impression I got was that they just wanted to hang out with each other instead of interact with customers. As for the food, we ordered the 1947 burger, spicy chicken strips, hot dog and some fries with the house made lemonade. The food was fair could have been better for the price of everything as the meal came out to about $45. The hot dog was average but had a nice grill on it, the fries and chicken strips were surprisingly great, and the lemonade was a nice, tart compliment to the food. The 1947 burger, however, was greasy to the point of falling apart and the meat had a slight aftertaste to it. Overall, it was disappointing compared to how good the chicken strips, lemonade, and fries were. I would say come to this place earlier in the day if you're looking to eat inside/experience better customer service and stick with the strips, fries and lemonade.
Okay these burgers were solid and fresh. I think the price matches the flavor and burger for the most part. The spicy fries were soggy, but the normal ones were on point. The beer was a great touch too, the Pilsner was nice with some spice. Its a great location and plenty of seating. I recommend a try at this place.
What a way to treat myself to a nice moment in Pasadena. Soaking up the vibe with a tasty specialty burger at Jake's. Priscilla, the waitress, guided me toward great food options and the pineapple soda was the perfect compliment. Very nice!
This place is so good! I've lived in Pasadena for years and walked by numerous times but never frequented Jake's. I never knew how awesome this place was!!! We just got takeout and it was great! Even after being delivered it was soooooo good. I'll have to say their double meat lettuce wrapped burger, way better than the double double protein style burger at in n out. That is a hard comparison because I love them both much. In N Out's meat is fresher but Jake's lettuce wrap is better. Also their onion rings are super big and yummy. They are done so well that you don't get the entire onion ring in one bite. Anyway this place is super good even though we got take out only! I've passed by numerous time and it's super cute! I can't wait frequent this place more! This place is a Pasadena gem!
