Bidra med feedbackWife and I stopped while I was carrying out the supplies. Two gentlemen behind the counter were nice and helpful as it was our first time. Wife had chicken nachos and I had the 2 tacos with beans and rice, except I replaced more beans for rice. Nachos were illuminated and not fat. Chicken had good taste. Will definitely stop.
Delicious place! We went all the time to Chipotle when we moved to the area we discovered Simple and it was not disappointed! My husband loves that they have the Mexican rice, and I enjoy the quinoa. I wish they only offered brown rice (or regular quinoa, not the three colours). That's my only “Kredit”! We enjoy the Salsas, Jalapeño and also limes they offer. We tried the steak and the chicken and both were delicious! Their mixed vegetables are also delicious.
Simple is a big step from other similar restaurants! Much better than Chipotle their food is well seasoned, price right, and their workers are friendly. For the first time this week, will certainly be a point back!
The food here is much better than Chipotle. We haven't eaten in Chipotle in a few years, decided to try it because they moved to Ellenton and we had a gift card. In the middle of our meal my daughter and I said this is not all that great, Símple is better! I gave you not only a fifth star, because every time we go there, there is no match with the portions that are served. Once I was given very little by the Veggies and when I asked if I had a little more, I was told that I would have to be charged if I wanted more. I have no more problem to pay if I wanted extra, but if an employee gives me a very small amount, then give me another thing I think is a regular amount, I don't think someone should be charged. Usually the shares are decent. On the other day I was there and the same happened again, but with the rice. After paying the, I noticed how small the portions in the bowl saw to buy a side of rice. We eat here often and love the food. Only my opinion, but I think if someone pays $19.00 I got the combo and the additional side of rice) for a meal, I think the portions should be something more consistent. Except I think you'll be great!
I lived in the area for almost a year, in one of the many overbuilt, cookie cutter, boring HOA communities that blanket the entire state. Before I get into this restaurant, I want to point out that this entire area (and most of Florida it seems) is a food desert. Yes there are good options if one is willing to drive some distance away, but if you live in one of the endless communities that surround Highway 301 in the immediate area, your options are fast food, chain restaurants and even more fast food. It was maddening watching locals line up at places like the nearby McDonald 's and Taco Bell like it was the best food ever. Some of the worst food choices I have ever experienced in my entire life and people who flock to that mediocrity. Having said that, having a place like this within minutes of where I lived was a blessing. It became the only takeout place I ended up eating at during what seemed like my jail sentence of a time living in that area. The concept is similar to Chipotle, except MUCH BETTER. In the months I lived there and ate regularly at this eatery, I never once had an issue. My regular choices here were the bowls with mostly barbacoa, beef or chicken. Like I said, it was the only local food available within minutes of where I lived that was any good. Proper iced tea also (sweet or not) with shredded ice. This restaurant is one of the few things (and there aren 't many) that I miss about this place. Staff/management/owners were always incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. My interactions with them made my time here easier. When I return to visit this will be the only place I eat at. Seeing the bad reviews for what in some cases seem like nothing is sad. The people leaving those reviews can join the line stretching out onto Highway 301 down the road at Taco Bell. I hope this place thrives and wish them much success. We need more eateries like this one, especially in a location such as this. People have no idea how important they are. I took for granted what I have access to in my home state (which I promptly returned to after spending most of a year down there). Places like this I have several of right around the corner along with all kinds of ethnic foods and other choices. Most of my previous experiences in Florida were in the Miami area where there is no shortage of good food as well. Let 's not allow the fast food chains and other mediocre, low quality, unhealthy food to take over the landscape like they have in Florida.
