Bidra med feedbackMy husband I went on a motorcycle adventure and ended up staying here for the night, we didn't have a reservation but we were able to book a room when we walked in. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and nice. He offered a king suite, it was very beautiful. We had a couple drinks at the bar and coffee in the morning at the Cafe! Beautiful place to stay. Happy we found this place for the night. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. What a horrifying disappointment. I attended a wedding there this month and it was the worst event I have ever been a part of. The new ownership has destroyed an icon. The food was awful. Steak was anything but filet. May not have been beef at all. The bartender didn't know how to make drinks and half the items listed on the menu never showed up. If I were the groom I would demand an apology and a full refund of the over $10,000 bill! Service: 1
Although the rooms were quaint and exactly what to expect in a historic hotel with full service, the location has little to offer. The breakfast buffet was outrageously expensive even with the guest voucher of $10 off. Rooms: 4 Service: 3 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Romantic
First night stay wasn’t bad but went down hill after that. We were celebrating our new engagement and read about this place and heard it was good and romantic. Personally I think it was way over priced. Paid over $300 a night for not much. When trying to use at least one of the amenities it failed miserably. We were trying to celebrate our engagement with a nice night in and room service as promised. We even Stopped at the restaurant to ask how it worked, what time they were open until (which was 10), she kindly told us, and we were on our way. Ordered room service around 745-8, got our wine and movie ready for our romantic night in to celebrate and just waited and waited, until receiving a call a little after 9 saying our order was never put in and the kitchen was closing due to FOH staffing issues and we will not be receiving any food? No real apology, no talk from a manager, nothing professional. And on top of it, I was already charged for the food! So how was I charged for food that never got put in? So after hearing that we scrambled to find anything decent even open at that point. We had hurry up to place and pick up an order at Olive Garden before they closed at 10. So not the romantic time we were hoping for and we had to get ready to go out and get food. Come the next day, I ask to speak to a manager, no one was there so I was told I’d receive a “call”, which I didn’t. And now I am still being charged for food that we didn’t get, the hotel says they don’t see a charge and instead of just looking into it and calling me back she just kept saying it must be a “pending charge” and it’ll fall off. But it’s a posted charge out of my account and even my bank sees it. So here I am disputing it with my bank. Needless to say very disappointed in a weekend that was supposed to be filled with happiness and felt like we wasted a lot of money for quite frankly nothing and being charged extra on top of that. I hate to say things like this but I am a manager, at a restaurant, in a hotel and I would have made this right the day of when it got messed up. I understand things happen but it’s the way you deal with it to make it better is was matters and I just feel nothing was resolved from unhappy guests that didn’t enjoy what was supposed to be a nice relaxing weekend.
