Grand Mongolian Hot Pot Park Ridge

Neat concept and fun to go with my family. Nice ambiance, tasty food. Only complaint is that you need to be prepared to wait, very slow service. Nice people but may need more help.

We ate outside and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rolled ice cream was amazing for dessert.

The service is good as well as the food selection. We really enjoyed our time.

We had a fantastic time trying out hot pot and it certainly won't be our last visit! Our server was very helpful in guiding us on how much to order. We completed an order form specifying our preferences: half original and half spicy broth, Mongolian dumplings, homemade Asian wheat noodles, Udon noodles, a meat combo platter, meatballs, shrimp, oyster mushrooms, a vegetable combo platter, and a variety of dipping sauces. This selection was perfect for our group of 5, with the staff letting us know that we could always order more during the meal if needed. All the ingredients arrived raw and thinly sliced to be cooked in the bubbling broth in the middle of the table. The staff gave us a helpful introduction on how to get started and provided some general cooking times. Our favorites were the dumplings, meatballs, beef, and vegetables, although everything was delicious and the broth became more flavorful as we dined. The food arrived promptly once we had made our choices, and our broth was topped up throughout the meal. We spent around 2 hours dining, so it's not a quick in-and-out affair if that's what you're after. The restaurant is also BYOB, which is a nice bonus! Overall, it was a fun and interactive dining experience that was perfect for a group outing and allowed us to sample a variety of items from the menu. A delightful and delicious addition to Park Ridge!

Overall, my experience at the restaurant was good. However, we were disappointed to find out that they were out of fresh shrimp and veggie noodles for our hot pot. We had to ask the waitress for help when the bottom of the hot pot started burning. Another customer later told us that we should have received a remote control to regulate the heat. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still had a fun time and will definitely be returning in the future.
