Bidra med feedbackLa soupe n'était pas excellente. Personnel peu aimable. L'hygiène laisse à désirer. Il y avait un chien à côté de ma table. À éviter.
The best was the braised pork belly (thit kho) authentic North Vietnamese style, sticky and full of gelatin and protein, goes well with white rice. Their home cooking style stir-fry dishes were good, the chicken moo-shu with tomatoes; the beef with green onions (French leeks). Price was very inexpensive, since their customers were just local neighborhood folks. The owner has been in France for over 30 years. He was from Ha-Noi, a native Vietnamese but speaks Cantonese as well.Worth mentioned was their restaurant name, Les Sapeques, which is an antiquity French Indochinese term for colonial coins issued by the French authority in the 19th century, a little history lesson for those who are interested.
We love Pho. Taste wise, this pho was fairly plain, but we were starving so it temporarily did the job. They do not separately serve bean sprouts, mint leaves, or the staple hoisin sauce. The fresh (non fried) spring rolls were good. Though they don't serve you peanut sauce, the peanut is within the roll itself. The upside is they serve fresh spring rolls, which you can't get at Pho 14 or Bida
