Bidra med feedbackAs far as Mexican food goes, you can do better in this city. I was greeted by friendly staff, and I really liked the atmosphere. But the chicken burrito I ordered was bland and could have used a lot more spice from the standard Mexican cuisine playbook (cumin, garlic, chili, etc). This spot was fine if you’re wandering around El Cangrejo looking for a quick bite but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.
I've visited this restaurant since it was a small food truck. I watched it grow and become a sensation, to return today and see how the current management has lowered the standards of the food. This used to be an authentic Mexican food landmark, not anymore. Totopos were changed to bagged chips, guac is bland, tortillas are flimsy and flavorless. This is not the Mordida de Burro I used to love.
Way way overrated. Went with my wife and ordered a chicken tostada and the gringa quesadilla... as well as 2 beers. The food was highly disappointing, lacking in both flavor and quality. The chicken tostada literally had only one small piece of chicken the size of a dime. The beer was 1$ on the menu, but somehow cost 2$ on the bill... and was $10 after taxes . This place doesnt live up to the hype and definitely deserves its name. This donkey bit us, thats for sure. Save yourself the grief and just go to Wendys or McDonalds.
Good service. Way to much overpriced and the food size Vs. Price was a joke. The nachos “share size” worth $12.50, and it’s not even enough for 1 person. The mixed tacos are really really small and around $16. I don’t even want to mention “empanadas” those were a joke size empanadas. Won’t come back, not even with 70% discount.
I really wanted to love this place however was disappointed. The pork in both the carnitas and al pastor tacos was incredibly dry and not that flavorful. The chicken on my nachos was also dry and lacking cheese. Maybe it was my fault for going in-between lunch and dinner but overall everything tastes dry and flavorless.
