Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I went on a little midday date to try the excellent pizza here. We got the Bomba and the Rapini big slices. The servings were generous and the pie was tasty and unique. Loved it we will definitely be back!
All I wanted to do today was stress eat pizza. I’ve been eyeballing this place online for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. I first tried to order through door dash, and the order was cancelled with no reason given. I took that as a sign that I should get out of the house to get it myself and save the twelve bucks on fee and tip. So I drove there. I couldn’t figure out where the place was, so I asked a waiter at a wine bar who said it’s right next door. After walking a lap around the building without finding it, I asked him again. He walked me to what looked like the entrance to the kitchen of his own restaurant, opened it, and chatted with the people in the kitchen, who apparently informed him the “place” was mysteriously closed for the day. What a fiasco, an hour wasted and no pizza. I couldn’t work out that this was a delivery/pick up only place and have no idea if they actually keep regular hours. What a disappointment. Should have never left the house.
I'm unlikely to get this pizza again and I wouldn't recommend it : Why? No flavor. No acid zing or sweetness from the tomato sauce, no salt from the meats or cheese. I will say it seemed like quality ingredients were used- the bread was quality, the cheese, the meats, however really no flavor. Shocking really. I'm a fan of this companies other establishments: Vina Tootsies, however, this pizza really missed the mark for me.
Seriously that's the best pizza experienced in Bay Area SF Crust is thick and perfectly crusty.
I'm so excited that I finally got to try Pizzone this weekend! I first came across their pizza on Instagram and was happy that I could try Milano styled pizza for the first time as well. I decided to play it safe and try the margarita pizza just to test out the foundations of the pizza from the crust the sauce to the cheese. Overall the texture of the pizza was perfect because the bottom was nice and crispy without being overly oily. I also liked that the tomato sauce felt very fresh although I wish it was a bit more robust and savory. I also think that next time I will try their pepperoni to see if there would be less cheese because this one was a little bit heavier for my taste but all in all I love trying new pizza spotted this one is worth a try.
