Someone suggested that I do a little better “overall” review of the food I eat in the various restaurants I frequent or visit. This eve, here goes: The Lucky Rooster Kitchen Bar in Hilton Head gets tagged as my first more in-depth review. In this place, which was casual and very comfortable (I ate at the bar , I felt compelled to order the chicken, knowing that I am very particular about chicken (but…the name of the place! . This meal was definitely NOT a disappointment! I had the lightly battered fried chicken, duck fat fries, and seasoned collard greens. Oh my goodness! Exquisite! For the first time in my memory, I did not have to use salt or pepper for my meal, and there was a hot honey dip accompanying the piping hot chicken that was unbelievably delectable! And the collards…oh my, even my mom would be envious! Lastly, the duck fat fries were as good as duck fat fries could be expected to be…delicious. Oh yeah, service was on point, friendly and fast. Maybe I’m just lucky (and I think my palate can be quite picky , but most everywhere I go is really good.

Loved coming to this restaurant! It has such a beautiful and fresh atmosphere! I got the fried chicken livers and they were awesome!! Just try them you'll see. The service was friendly and quick. Overall great experience, can't wait until I can go again!

You have to get the short ribs here. So tender and tasty!

We were traveling for a gymnastics meet, had just gotten back from a trip to Charleston and this was the only thing open at 8pm. Went in and it looked like they might have decided to close early or I am not sure the story BUT they took us in, me my husband and 3 children! They gave is the BEST meal of our stay! Never once did I feel like we were bothering them, the kids chicken fingers were to die for. Me and my husband split the shrimp and scallops and I wish we got our own dishes because it was cooked to perfection! My drink the smokey and the bandit was delicious! I can't thank everyone for their amazing hospitality and accommodations, our kids are still talking about how delicious their meals were!
