Pioneer Cafe - PALISADE

I came here with friends on a Sunday afternoon (post-church). It had recently reopened after being out of business for a few years and the location being purchased. A great local spot. Very busy, full of happy customers, and most everyone seemed to know each other. The food was not gourmet, but nice portions for a very reasonable price. If I remember correctly, $6.99 for a lunch special, lemon pepper chicken, baked potato, salad, vegetables, and rhubarb cake. I hope they do well. The special was written up on a little white board on the wall. This was my first experience of a true little Nebraska town cafe, and I loved the experience.
