Bidra med feedbackI didn't have my phone with me, so I didn't check the reviews on gulu before I got in. Unfortunately, the friendly staff has not created for the bad quality of eating. if they fail to make spaghetti ofgole and a mixed salad with...letters that are tanning, they do not have much pride in eating on her. strange in a country where eating is one of the column religions (Goden, family, eating, calcio). I'm surprised they're not out of business. avoid them at all costs including hunger!
We were two weeks in Sicily and that was our last night. Gulu’ was recommended and the menu looked good. our waiter seemed to be upset from the beginning and it just got worse. we do not speak much Italian and everything we tried to say...also in English did not seem to be understood. there was a table of Americans who speak English close to them and they seemed to have no problem. in that the waiter was quite jovial with them. the food was good, but the service was not. After we finished our main courts, the waiter ignored us. we would have gotten a dessert if he had harassed us to tell us what the elections were. he told others tables and they were dessert served while we wait over ten minutes to get his attention. When he finally came by, we asked for the check. it came fast, but then he ignored our payment for another time. I don't know what we did to be ignored, but it wasn't a pleasant experience.
Stayed in Palermo for three days. This place was recommended to us by a couple we met who had eaten there twice. We were not disappointed to the extent that we ate there three times! Slightly off the beaten track but well worth the visit.
We called here for lunch given the appearance of the place but definitely a touch of style over substance. The main problem was the complete lack of any attempt at customer service, no ice, refusal on the next table to split the bill over cards etc, they could not get rid of the customers quick enough and, frankly, the customers were happy to oblige!
Visited September We tried : Paccheri pasta with rich pistacchio sauce and swordfish and spaghetti con bottarga tuna egg and lemon they were both extremely delicious. Nice setting polite staff understated and luckily no music or loud sounds in the piazza.
