Ciudad Real Palenque

A lovely colonial style hotel. The restaurant is slightly up the road on the other side. Drinks can be ordered and they are delivered to your room via the lobby.Excellent service polite attentive staff. Nice courtyards.

Clean, quiet,almost all services they dont have internet acces in the bedrooms) and the restaurant prices are a little bit high...The personal is very nice.

All the guide books point out that Palenque town is not a tourist destination. Agreed. But we found staying in the La Canada area was great. Beautiful tree lined streets in a nice enclave. Near the bus station. The town is not fancy but I...would much rather be able to get out and explore and walk around than be stuck in the jungle at a resort.

We have repeatedly visited Comida China in Puerto Aventuras and found this location almost by accident last night while looking for a taco place. It is on Benito Jaurez in Palenque but tucked back a bit from the other storefronts. The food here was every...bit as good as in PA and the portions were actually larger. We got the option of three meat dishes with rice, it cost 62 pesos and was plenty for both of us to share. Give it a try, even if you are not on a budget. Excellent!

El servicio es muy lento y eso que solo nos estaban atendiendo a nosotros. Las porciones son pequeñas y no es barato. (Aprox 200 cada platillo). El arroz era precocido. El asado chiapaneco rico, pero escaso.
