We made same-day reservations on Open Table, which were accepted and confirmed. After a 40-minute drive, we arrived to find there was no one at the restaurant. We called the front desk of the resort and the person there informed us apologetically that the restaurant had decided to close for the evening due to lack of reservations. I received my seated confirmation from Open Table two days later.

Such a beautiful, cozy hidden gem. The food here is delicious and I love the pre-fixe menu. You're getting amazing food value for the cost at a really amazing spot on Maui. It's quiet and serene. Every course of the food is fresh tasting. Walk the grounds if you get a chance to before or after your dinner. Salads are crispy and fresh. The avocado chocolate mousse was SO good as was the macadamia crusted mahi. The only downside is its limited hours. Bring a sweater it gets a little chilly in this part of town.

My friend and I have dined at Wooden Crate now several times and each time we have loved the food and the service is outstanding. Definitely highly recommend it! They do wonderfully with Gluten Free, their GF bread is phenomenal! Everything is fresh and tasty and very high quality, which is hard to find! It’s very reasonable for a three course meal in Maui as well. Will definitely go back again and again.
