Trattoria Isoletta - PADOVA

I strongly disagree with the poor reviews! We were treated to a most memorable dining experience. Paulo was amazing, delightful, and engaging. He made a sincere effort to speak and understand English. The atmosphere was cozy and classy. The food was fantastic! We all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. If you want to enjoy a truly authentic Italian dining experience, you should make sure you try Trattoria Isoletta.

Was not a good experience. The owner made no attempt to understand us. Just kept saying “no capisse” we picked the dishes but he messed up our order and brought 3 pasta dishes instead of 1 that we ordered. We silently accepted the dishes. To make it worse, we ordered red wine and when we asked what red wine is called in Italian, the owner teamed up with another guest to tell us that it is called ‘NERO’. We are brown skinned and fluent at Portuguese, we know what ‘Nero’ means. What was worse is that the guest at the table across had a child not more than 8 years old at his table. The guest, owner and kid laughed heartily at NERO VINO. What they taught the child at that moment is a travesty. We will never visit this place again

Very good place to eat in Padova. Fair princes, good service and delicious local food. For sure do not miss the traditional Polenta
