Zum Sushi - Pacific Grove

Went for the chef choice sashimi lunch. The fish quality, freshness, and presentation was great, I just wish the slices were a little thicker. Overall it was a good experience will have to come back to try out more on the menu.

Vegans rejoice(non-vegans too), the caterpillar is the best veg roll I have ever had!!! Mango tango rocks too! Everyone eating here is happy because it's sooo good!

Best sushi!! I didn’t even use any extra sauces because the flavor of each roll was outstanding! Not to mention how quickly the rolls were put together but still perfect and so good!! I highly recommend you stop here for sushi! I am already looking forward to coming back again. Staff was super friendly as well! A must stop

We searched Sushi for the whole 17 mile drive and the scenic Carmel-by-the-sea scene adventure... has a fast Google search and Zum has often been mentioned. We got here before closing. It is a small institution and it is busy. a good sign of course. We ordered their Seaside Roll, uni/sea urchin (market price or $20 at the time of order), and two chefs choice (omakase). We were surprised that the food came in a boat. It was a nice touch. I would say To is hard to beat for what you get. The part of the fish was generous. I wish there was more university to rice ratio, but I didn't feel sad. I have not tried any other sushi spots in this area, but I can confidently say this place has good value and quality at a reasonable price (if you miss the uni haha). Try this when you're in the area!

I arrived when the restaurant opened. There is a table at the top of the stairs with a pen and a shelf for customers to write their names down. I placed my order and waited outside as they have outdoor seating. The waitress brought me my order, which included Tamago, salmon, and tuna nigiri, as well as a Californian roll. The fish had a strange texture - slimy and difficult to pick up, but it didn't taste fishy. Overall, it was quite delicious and of high quality.
