Little Chicken House - Pacific Grove

This review is for anyone ordering takeout (perhaps dining in would be better?). This was the worst food we have ever been served in the past 20 years of traveling. The BBQ was the worst we have ever seen or tasted. We wholeheartedly agree with the previous reviewer who received takeout so bad they threw it away. We ordered the 3-meat plate (Pork, Chicken, Ribs with fries and cornbread) for about $29. The pork was dry and tough, tasting days old. The chicken was also tough and old. The ribs had very little meat on them. All three meats were coated in a tasteless red sauce that lacked any flavor - not sweet, salty, spicy, or even resembling ketchup, just red and wet. The quality of the meats we received was so poor they should have been thrown out. It is hard to believe this restaurant can stay in business serving such subpar food to their drive-through customers. It may have been because we had out-of-state plates and they assumed we wouldn't return, but hopefully, honest reviews like ours will help others avoid this establishment. Seriously, steer clear of this place as any other food option would be much better.

The food at this restaurant is great - we ordered the chicken and ribs and the portions were generous! The owner and staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

Order both chicken and beef bbq for take out. Got it back to our cottage and all of it was disgusting. This is the worst bbq i have had in my 50+ years of eating bbq. Just horendous. We actually ended up throwing about 90% of it out and ordering from aomewhete else.Food: 1/5

We tried this place and it was disappointing. My bf and I got the brisket and pork sandwiches. The meat was very bland and nothing could fix the brisket. We are not going to return here. The sevice was ok.Food: 2/5

Unfortunately, not very good at all. Service (drive thru) was very nice and very quick, but the quality of food was not good. Had a BBQ pork sandwich and it tasted old and funky and borderline not edible! Could not eat it or the fries!! Very sorry to leave such a negative review, but I would avoid eating here!!
